The Therapeutic Relationship is the most important aspect of counseling. A client must feel safe in order to share their thoughts, feelings, hopes, disappointments, celebrations and tragedies. Without safety and compassion there can be no honesty or authentic growth. The therapeutic relationship is a true friendship.
